The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team in Canberra. In this role, you will be working with clients who have chronic conditions, helping them to develop and maintain exercise routines that improve their health and well-being. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to create a work schedule that suits your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs, medical history, and goals
  • Design and implement personalized exercise programs tailored to clients' unique requirements and conditions
  • Monitor clients' progress, reassess, and modify exercise programs as needed
  • Educate clients on the importance of exercise, nutrition, and other lifestyle factors for managing their conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and dietitians, to provide a holistic approach to care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with privacy regulations
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the clinic's ongoing success and growth
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology.
  • Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with clients with chronic conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
